Reflecting on 2025 at Focus Foster Care

2025 is almost over and it’s been another successful year here at Focus Foster Care. We may be a small independent fostering agency, but we are proud to have made a big impact on many lives over the past 12 months.

This year we have looked after 14 children across our fostering households, supported 10 foster families and welcomed two new foster families to our team. Our fostering panel also gained two new members and OFSTED performed their routine inspection, awarding Focus with a GOOD rating.

It’s been a busy year!

As we approach 2026, we’re taking a moment to look back over the past 12 months and share our reflections. Before the new year arrives, we want to take stock of everything that has been achieved here at Focus throughout 2025.

Looking back on 2025

"2025 has been a wonderful year for Focus, from welcoming two new families to our Focus Family, to getting rated 'GOOD' by OFSTED. There has been many memories in 2025 that our young people have experienced & I hope for 2026 that we are able to welcome even more new families & children into Focus."

It has been heartwarming to see the children celebrate their first Christmas with a tree, filled with excitement. It's wonderful to observe how far they have come since they were first placed with us. While fostering can be challenging for our carers at times, the rewards far outweigh those challenges." Happy New Year

As you can see, 2025 has been a busy year for all of the team here at Focus Foster Care.

We have been so proud to see our foster carers and the children we look after grow and achieve so much this year. In 2026, we hope to welcome even more people to our fostering team and continue to offer support to vulnerable children in the West Midlands and surrounding areas.

But before we start making plans for 2026, we first want to wish everyone reading this a very happy new year!
