Meet The Fostering Panel – Jackie
The Focus Foster Care panel is growing and we are excited to welcome Jackie to the team.
As is tradition, we asked Jackie to share a bit about herself so all foster carers approaching their panel meeting have the opportunity to get to know our members a little better.
Jackie - Focus Foster Care panel member
I am Jackie and one of two new members of The Focus Fostering panel.
I bring over 25 years of professional Social Work and teaching experience and am an Approved Mental Health Professional Lead who makes legal decisions in respect of detentions under the 1983 Mental Health Act.
Of most importance though, is that I am ‘care experienced’ and was raised in local authority care for all my childhood. I loved my foster parents very much, and I am fierce about the life chances of vulnerable children.
I am delighted to be a member of this panel.
