Welcome back to our Meet The Team series. Earlier this month our office administrator Jess left us pursue the next stage in her career. We wish Jess good luck in her new venture and we are happy to welcome our new office administrator, also called Jess! So, without further adieu, let’s get to know Jess a little better.

Meet The Focus Foster Care Office Administrator – Jess

My name is Jess and I have recently joined the Focus Foster Care team in April 2022. My role at Focus is the Office Administrator and this is my first time working within the Fostering industry.

As my career background is the NHS taking the leap and moving to Focus Foster Care it is a big learning curve for me, but Focus is a small, yet very welcoming and supportive fostering agency and it is a very rewarding place to work. The office is filled with supportive members of the team whose best interests are with the carers and the children but also the office team.

Something I think that potential foster carers should know is that all children are different, all family stories are unique, and all children deserve love, kindness and respect.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family and friends. Going out for nice meals and a cocktail. I also love going out for scenic walks with my dog. It is a pleasure to meet our office dog Honey who brings joy to the workplace. My other interests are that I love to bake, whenever I get some free time, I am always in the kitchen baking either tasty treats or cakes.
