Here at Focus Foster Care, we do our best to support every single one of our fostering families. We offer a 24/7 support line, and our small team of staff gets to know every person involved in our fostering team.

However, sometimes, you may need a little extra guidance, information, or legal advice and this is where the FosterTalk membership comes in.

The phrase ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ also applies to foster care. We believe the bigger your support network, the better the outcomes for everybody involved. That’s why we provide every approved foster carer who joins our fostering team with a FosterTalk membership.

Join our West Midlands fostering team

If you’re considering becoming a foster carer and you live in the West Midlands, we’d love to hear from you. We’re currently recruiting caring and committed individuals and couples to join our fostering family.

Foster carer criteria

Foster carers in the UK must:

  • Have a spare bedroom

  • Be over 21 years of age

  • Be able to drive or have regular access to reliable public transport

  • Have some experience of looking after children (this does not have to be through employment in childcare)

  • Be committed to participating in regular training and growing your caring skills
