Meet the team – Kevin Reynolds, registered manager

At Focus Foster Care, we see our team as a family. We all share one vision and are working towards the same goal: helping local children have the happy childhoods they deserve. We are passionate about embracing the lives of children in foster care and we do so by carefully placing them with our wonderful foster carers. You can find out all about our Coventry based independent fostering agency by reading our about page but we thought you might want to get to know all of us as individuals’ too. As previously mentioned, Focus Foster Care is like a happy family and we see the launch of our new blog as the perfect opportunity to properly introduce ourselves and for you to get to know us all a bit better. After all, if you decided to become a foster carer with us, you will be joining the family too!

Meet the Focus Foster Care manager

Name: Kevin Reynolds

What is your job role? Registered Manager

When did you start working for Focus? Since the very beginning in January 2016, back before we got our registration.

What do you love about working at Focus? The fact that we are a small team where everyone is happy to get involved to help when needed. I also feel passionate that we are able to develop the service around the needs of the carers and young people ensuring that each and every household receives a bespoke service from us.

Fostering is a wonderful opportunity to change not only the lives of children but also the lives of the carers and their wider families.

Kevin Reynolds

What have you learnt about fostering that you think all potential foster carers should know? That fostering is a wonderful opportunity to change not only the lives of children but also the carers and their wider families. We often find that foster families learn so much from the young people that they work with and also get to try new hobbies and activities as a family.

What interests do you have outside of work? As well as being a parent to my two teenage daughters (which is exhausting enough) I am an active volunteer with the British Red Cross and can often be found spending my limited free time at events as a Event First Aider, I also volunteer as an Emergency Response Volunteer with the same organisation and in this role we support the emergency services (primarily the Fire service) to support people who have suffered from an event.

Any other interesting things about you that you’d like to share? I love to travel and have been lucky to visit many places across the world.

There is a whole team of people who work at Focus Foster Care and make it the successful independent fostering agency it is today. We hope you enjoyed getting to know our registered manager, be sure to come back to our blog soon to meet the rest of the team.
